When you book ticket in IRCTC, the transaction charges will be Ticket amount + IRCTC charges + Bank charges but Bank charges will not be printed on ticket, but it will get deducted from your account (it is known to most of the people who use to book through IRCTC).
Bank charge varies, i.e some bank may charge 10Rs + service tax, some Bank doesn't charge. some bank charges depending on payment gateways..

When you make transaction using net banking or Through debit card, usually your bank charges 10rs + service tax, but now using this technique you can pay very less amount i.e as low as 1.65% of ticket amount.
if your bank is not listed in the IRCTC section, then don't worry. use the below method to make smooth transaction.. (This step applies only to MASTER/VISA card holders only.. MAESTRO cards are not accepted)
Before proceeding How to pay, will see the various bank IRCTC ticket booking transaction charges.
If you have Master/Visa debit/credit card. easily you can book through axis Payment gateway. as i highlighted in the yellow color, it clearly says. it will charge 1.65% of total ticket charge. if you are booking charges are 200Rs then 5 Rs will be charged..
if you are doing bulk booking of 4 people whose total amount exceeds 700Rs then pay using the debit card through bank/use net banking standard charges are applicable.
Steps to pay through AXIS Payment gateway:
1)Log in to IRCTC
2)Go to payment section.
3)Click on Axis Payment Gateway
4)Enter your card details
5)Click on Buy
6)Then it will redirect you to your bank site, enter Master/visa card password
7)Finish it :)...
8)Initially (Ticket + IRCTC charges) gets deducted.
9)After 3 to 4 days later PG charge gets deducted.
{This method works for most of the banks like CANARA,HSBC,RBS,ICICI,CITI,SYNDICATE,HSBC etc..}
